Chiropractic Adjustment

An adjustment to the spinal joints involves the chiropractor placing either his hands or an instrument to the affected spinal joint(s) that are not moving right. By doing so, the chiropractor adds motion to the area, allows weakened muscles and ligaments to stabilize and heal, and promotes a healthy nerve response to the corresponding organs and tissues. With 24 moving bones in the spine, each of which can move in seven different directions, we see a wide variety of spinal patterns. Each patient's plan of care is custom-tailored for his or her age, condition and health goals making each patient's spine and care unique. Contact our office in Fargo for more information.

Manual/Trigger Point Therapy

A trigger point is an area of uncontrolled muscle tightness causing tenderness which interferes with the normal muscle function. This restricts normal range of motion, weakens the muscle, and may cause pain to other parts of the body. Using either the hands or a special table, the problem muscle is compressed with sustained pressure to relax it.

Electro-Muscle Stimulation

Is a special form of electrical current that is administered at the sight of soft tissue injury, especially muscles, for the blocking of pain. Conductive pads are placed upon the affected muscle or tissue and small amounts of electrical currents are induced into the tissues.

Is a therapeutic treatment using high-frequency sound waves administered in the region of soft tissue injuries and areas of complaint.
